The Centre for Indigenous Research, Culture, Language and Education (CIRCLE) strives to facilitate the research, and delivery of linguistic and cultural materials of the First Peoples of North America as well as all Canadians. A special focus is on cultural expressions linked with music and language, both for Aboriginal Canadians and other indigenous people.
Mushkegowuk Council
The Mushkegowuk Council of Chiefs and its Regional Council is the result of the collective will of the Mushkegowuk Cree communities on the James Bay Coast and those within our Southern Traditional inland boundaries, who bound by political/ historical and family ties chose to gather to form the Traditional/ Political Governance Structure for the Region. The collective will of these communities represent a total population in excess of 10,000 First Nation people.
The Mushkegowuk Council is the political voice of the region advancing the interest of First Nation peoples of the region through their Constitutional Process in the areas of Health, Resource Development, Social Services, Education, Employment and Training, Environmental Protection, Protection of Treaty and Aboriginal Rights of the people.
Neh Naak Ko
Neh Naak Ko is an independent, evolving Mushkegowuk Cree company solely owned by Cree researcher-writer Stan Louttit. Currently, Neh Naak Ko operates in the James Bay Region providing aboriginal research services on a diversity of research study projects within the Muskegowuk Cree communities. Neh Naak Ko also partners with southern entities such as universities in providing primary aboriginal research and advancing current education practices, knowledge and understanding concerning Mushkegowuk history, culture and tradition.

At Pinegrove Productions we focus on projects that inform, that inspire, and most importantly, that matter. We connect with our audience through stories told passionately by the people most directly involved.
Since 2005 Pinegrove Productions has been the official videographer for CIRCLE (Centre for Indigenous Research, Culture, Learning and Education) at Carleton University. Through CIRCLE we work with First Nations partners and companies, such as BlackCherry Digital Media, to develop unique approaches for creating inspiring curriculum based multimedia educational materials.
