Information

The pelts from the winter rabbits were stored to later be stripped into yarns. My mother would twist the rabbit fur till she had 50 strips. She then hung these outside to dry to later make blankets. This was the rabbit blanket. It was excellent; you never got cold, even in cold temperatures in the maki (tent). My mother made blankets for all of us.
