Information

Then, we would start to work preparing our camp for the coming hunt. In the winter, for our traveling on the frozen river, we would use toboggans. This is what we would use when traveling by foot, without sled dogs. As for sleds, we would use sled dogs. We would use about 6 sleds, with 5 to 6 dogs per sled. It was fun. When you applied soil mix to the sled runners, the sled slid very easily on the snow. It did not matter how much weight you had on the sled, the dogs, and riders were happy with the sleds easy traction. Only where there was heavy thicket, we would help with the pulling of the sled.
