Memishoosh the conjuror adopts young orphan boys, raises them to be his sons-in-law, and then routinely kills them off. One of them, however, was also a conjuror and saves himself from Memishoosh's plans until he actually manages to reverse one of his father-in-law's plots and the man freezes to death.
